Source: Texas Cornerback Anthony Cook has withdrawn his name from transfer portal

Cornerback Anthony Cook has withdrawn his name from the NCAA transfer portal and is expected to rejoin the Texas Longhorns, a source said.

Cook announced in June via Twitter that he intended to leave the program “due to unfortunate situations.”

Cook was ranked as a top 100 national recruit out of Houston Lamar in the class of 2018. He started one game as a freshman and six last season, recording 24 tackles and two pass breakups with one forced fumble. Cook had six tackles (four unassisted) in the Alamo Bowl upset of Utah.
