Before making any payment, customers are encouraged to confirm that the sender’s email address ends with @fortworthtexas.gov. They should also verify all permit fees by logging into their Accela Citizen Access account rather than relying solely on information included in an email.
Officials warned recipients not to click on suspicious links, open unexpected attachments, or send money if they have any doubts about a payment request.
Instead, anyone who receives a questionable email should verify the request directly through their Accela Citizen Access account or contact the City of Fort Worth Development Services Department at 817-392-2222 to determine whether the message is legitimate.
