Low-cost vaccines available for children and adults through Tarrant County annual Shot Rush clinics
Fort Worth, Texas – Residents across Tarrant County will once again have access to affordable routine vaccinations through the Immunization Collaboration of Tarrant County’s (ICTC) annual Shot Rush program, which provides immunization services for children and adults at several locations throughout the county.
The yearly program is designed to make it easier for families to receive recommended vaccines before the start of the new school year. Organizers say people of all ages are welcome to attend the clinics, which will operate at three different locations over the coming weeks.
Vaccinations for children from birth through age 18 cost $10 per vaccine, while those 19 years of age and older will pay $15 per vaccine. The program accepts cash and checks only. Organizers also emphasized that health insurance is not required, and residents will not be turned away if they are unable to pay for their vaccinations.
Three clinic locations available across Tarrant County
The Shot Rush clinics will move between three locations during the event to make services available to residents throughout the county.
The first clinic will operate through August 1 at First United Methodist Church of Hurst. After that, services will be offered from August 3 through August 8 at North Davis Church of Christ in Arlington. The final clinic location will be Ridgmar Mall in Fort Worth, where vaccinations will be available from August 10 through August 15.
Clinic hours will remain the same each week. On Mondays, vaccinations will be available from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. From Tuesday through Friday, clinics will be open 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., while Saturdays will offer shorter hours from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
To help support the large community vaccination effort, Tarrant County Public Health’s immunization clinics will temporarily close through August 15 so staff can assist with the Shot Rush program. Officials said normal clinic operations and regular services will resume on August 17.
Health officials encourage parents, students, and other residents who need routine vaccinations to take advantage of the temporary clinics while they are available. By offering low-cost immunizations at multiple locations, the program aims to reduce barriers to healthcare and help families prepare for the upcoming school year.
