Frisco residents and commuters face significant disruptions on PGA Parkway from March 17-22 as road closures take effect, marking the next phase in a crucial road-widening project between Preston Rd. and Coit Rd.

Frisco, Texas – Residents and commuters along PGA Parkway should prepare for a series of road closures scheduled for the week of March 17-22. These closures are part of an ongoing project to widen the busy thoroughfare and will affect several segments between Preston Rd. and Coit Rd.

Starting Monday, March 17, PGA Parkway will be completely closed to through traffic from Preston Rd. to Hillcrest Rd. This initial phase will last until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18. During this period, the stretch between Bandon Trail and Miles Dr. will be inaccessible to all traffic. Local access will be maintained, allowing residents east of Preston Rd. to reach Bandon Trail and those west of Hillcrest Rd. to access Miles Dr.

The disruption will continue into the middle of the week, with a similar pattern. From Wednesday, March 19, to Thursday, March 20, the same section of PGA Parkway will close again at 7 a.m., with this phase focusing on the segment between Miles Dr. and Hillcrest Rd. Only local traffic will be permitted within these limits, specifically to facilitate access to Bandon Trail and Miles Dr.

The final round of closures will occur from Friday, March 21, to Saturday, March 22. During these two days, the roadway will be shut between Hillcrest Rd. and Coit Rd., specifically blocking off the area between Hillcrest Rd. and Lonesome Dove Trail. Local traffic will still be able to reach Lonesome Dove Trail from west of Coit Rd.

For those needing to traverse these areas, alternative routes will be necessary. Traffic typically traveling through PGA Parkway can use Hillcrest Rd. or Coit Rd., redirecting south to Panther Creek Parkway to circumvent the closed segments.
