Arlington police appealed to the public asking for help in connection with a deadly hit-and-run
Arlington, Texas – The Arlington Police Department is looking for the community’s assistance in solving a hit-and-run accident that resulted in fatalities.
The hit-and-run crash took place between Davis and Fielder on West Division Street on October 22.
Charlotte Rankin, 68 years old, was attempting to cross Division Street when she was struck by a westbound vehicle. She was declared dead at the scene. According to the investigators, the motorist did not stop to assist her at any point.
Authorities said the vehicle responsible for Rankin’s death is either a 2011 Ford Escape or a 2011 Mercury Mariner. The vehicle will have damage that is apparent on the front passenger side, and it is possible that the passenger-side rear view mirror is broken.
