Blood drive will be held at Globe Life Field, donors may get tickets to the Texas Rangers game

Arlington, Texas – The Texas Rangers came up with the idea of providing ticket vouchers for any blood donor in order to help Texans who are in need of life-saving transfusions.

The club announced on Monday that they would be holding a blood drive at Globe Life Field in collaboration with Carter BloodCare on Saturday, July 2 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. People who donate blood will be able to get a voucher for two tickets in the stadium’s upper level seating section.

People interested in donating blood should park in Lot A, enter through the West VIP entrance, and proceed to The High Ball Lounge and 4.21 Food Hall, which are located on the upper concourse behind first base.

Vouchers for the 2022 season will be handed out, but each donor will only get one voucher (while supplies last) for their contribution.

At a time when local blood banks have been reporting serious shortages for more than a year, the blood drive comes at a crucial point in time.

Jim Cochrane, the senior vice president of business partnerships with the Texas Rangers, said, “We are grateful to partner with Carter BloodCare on this important community initiative, and we encourage Rangers fans to do their part to support the DFW blood supply.”

Visit CarterBloodCare.org or call 800-366-2834 to book your spot at the blood drive that will be held on July 2.
