DeSoto police asking for assistance in identifying a suspect in a bank robbery
DeSoto, Texas – The man who is suspected of robbing at least two banks in the previous week is being sought by the DeSoto police department, and they are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying him.
On Friday, June 10, 2022, at four o’clock in the afternoon, officers from the DeSoto Police Department were called to the PNC Bank located on Hampton Road. According to statements made to authorities by witnesses who were there, the robber entered the bank and proceeded to one of the teller windows, where he demanded money. He did not give any indication that he was carrying a firearm.
According to the police, this same individual is also accused of robbing a PNC Bank branch in Arlington on June 8th.
Authorities described the man as a white male with a black-and-white beard in his late 50s to early 60s, standing at 5’ 10″ tall and weighing approximately 300 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a navy-blue hoodie and prescription glasses.
The DeSoto Police Department also informed the FBI about the case.
The investigation is ongoing.
