Fort Worth girl who went missing found safe by her mother

Fort Worth, Texas – A 14-year-old girl from Fort Worth who was reported missing more than a week ago was located safe by her family.

She was last seen in the early morning hours of April 21 in the 8900 block of Guard Hill Drive. Her family requested assistance from authorities and the public after she did not return their calls later that day.

The 14-year-old girl was reunited with her family after a call was tracked down on April 26 between 2:30 and 3 p.m., according to the missing girl’s mother, Monica Waters.

Apparently, the girl called her friends from a phone at the shelter, and they immediately notified her mother about the call. The mother looked up the number her daughter’s friends gave her on the internet, and found out where the shelter was.

According to authorities, the mother then notified the police about the whereabouts of her daughter and went to the shelter’s location to pick the girl up.
