The power lines damaged in the car accident on Monday are fixed, DART rail service resumes services as per schedule
Dallas, TX – Single vehicle incident early Monday caused a lot of problems for DART passengers after a vehicle went off the Houston Street Viaduct and fell next to the train tracks below, damaging several power lines before hitting DART train.
The damage caused in the incident resulted with power outage preventing trains south of Downtown to operate as usual. This forced DART passengers to use buses in this area on Monday.
DART initially said they will need a week to fix the power lines, but on Tuesday they confirmed the power lines were fixed and DART operations continue as per the regular schedule.
As for the crash, witnesses told police they saw two women running from the car after it fell nearly 40 feet off the bridge.
Local authorities are still looking for them.
