Auto-pedestrian incident in Fort Worth Thursday night fatal for one person, police

Fort Worth, Texas – Auto-pedestrian crash Thursday night in Fort Worth was fatal for one person, the local police department confirmed.

According to the FWPD, officers were dispatched on State Highway 121 near Beach Street after 10 p.m. on Thursday following a 911 call in regards to a pedestrian been struck by a vehicle.

When Fort Worth Police Department officers arrived at the scene of the incident, Haltom Police officers were already at there and they were able to locate the man who had been struck.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle that hit the pedestrian didn’t stop. Local authorities are investigating the case and are trying to identify the driver and the vehicle involved in the crash.

Fort Worth Police Department confirmed that prior to the call in regards to the incident, they received multiple calls from the Haltom City Police Department reporting that a man running in and out of traffic and jumping in front of vehicles at approximately 10 p.m.

It’s believed that the same person was the victim in the latter incident.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call 911 or to notify either Fort Worth Police Department or Haltom City Police Department.
