Tuesday night apartment complex shooting on Peavy Road in east Dallas fatal for one person, police

Dallas, Texas – One person was killed in the Tuesday night shooting in east Dallas police confirmed.

According to the incident report, the shooting took place around 10 p.m. on Tuesday at east Dallas Apartment complex located at 2880 Peavy Road, near buildings 18 and 19.

Officers were dispatched at the scene following a 911 call in regards to a shooting in the area.

The incident report indicates that the male victim was near his pickup truck at the parking lot when two suspects approached him and started altercation.

The altercation led to the deadly shooting.

Right after the shooting, the suspect got into their vehicle and fled the scene.

When officers arrived at the scene, the victim was still alive, suffering apparent gunshot wound in the chest.

He was unresponsive and his condition was critical. He was immediately transferred to hospital for treatment where he later died.

Authorities are investigating the case.
