Local police released surveillance footage of the street racers that killed elderly woman while she was walking her dog
Dallas, TX – Police are asking the community for help in identifying the street racers that hit and killed elderly woman while she was walking her dog in Far East Dallas Friday afternoon.
According to the initial announcement, the hit-and-run incident took place around 2:30 p.m. on Friday near the intersection of Ferguson Road and Highwood Drive.
The investigators were looking for surveillance footage and they were finally able to obtain footage where the street racers are clearly seen. Now the police department is asking for public help in identifying them.
The identity of the victim was released later and she was identified as the 73-year-old Linda Pearson who was just walking her dog when she was struck by the black Chevy Impala.
The other driver believed to be involved in the street race that led to Pearson’s death was driving yellow Chevrolet Camaro that is also seen in the footage.
Both of the victim fled the scene right after the incident.
The Impala is believed to be 2014-2020 LTX/Premier model with chrome side mirror caps and chrome body side molding. It may have damage to the front passenger headlight and fog light.
The Camaro is yellow with a black racing stripe on the hood.
