Hit-and-run fatal for one Dallas woman who was walking her dog, authorities say potentially killed by street racers
Dallas, Texas – Friday afternoon hit-and-run was fatal for one elderly woman in Far East Dallas who was walking her dog.
According to the authorities, the woman was struck by a hit-and-run driver potentially street racing.
Local police department obtained a surveillance video from a nearby home that shows the moments before the impact that took place around 2:30 p.m. on Friday near the intersection of Ferguson Road and Highwood Drive.
At the moment of the incident, the woman was walking her dog and she was crossing Ferguson when she was struck by a black vehicle and a yellow vehicle speeding down the street.
The drivers didn’t stop and fled the scene.
The woman suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The dog is in critical condition.
The identity of the woman was not immediately released by the authorities.
Dallas Police Department is asking the public for help in locating and identifying the suspects in the case. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Dallas Police.
