The first flu victim in Dallas County, doctors urging people to get the shot

Dallas, TX – A 46-year-old man is the first reported flu victim this season in the Dallas County, health officials confirmed.

The identity of the victim was not released because of privacy reason.

Health experts in multiple occasion confirmed that one can get both the Covid-19 vaccine and the flu shot.

Dallas County’s health director is urging people to get a seasonal flu shot.

“This first death in Dallas County during this season is a sad reminder that influenza also needs to be taken seriously. The best way to protect yourself and others is to get your seasonal flu shot,” said Dr. Philip Huang, the Dallas County Health and Human Services director.

Additionally, people can also combine the Covid-19 booster shot and the flu shot.
