As soon as the Covid-19 vaccine for children aged 5-11 was approved earlier this month, many parents rushed their children to the closest vaccination site to vaccinate them in an effort to keep them as safe as possible as we approach the holiday season.
The latest data provided by the Texas Department of State Health Services shows that thousands of families in the Dallas County were waiting for the final “go” from the officials and decided to vaccinate their loved ones.
Health officials are happy to see the high demand for pediatric doses of the Covid-19 vaccines claiming that vaccinating children will additionally boost the battle with the deadly virus.
According to the Texas Department of State Health Services, as of Nov. 15, the following number of children between the ages of 5 and 11 had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine:
- Dallas County – 10,748
- Tarrant County – 8,634
- Collin County – 7,351
- Denton County – 4,050
