Dallas police officer reported shots being fired in his direction in Friday night incident, ongoing investigation

Dallas, TX – One police officer was shot in Friday’s night shooting incident while he was at his patrol car.

According to the incident report, the shooting happened in the 5300 block of W. Jefferson Boulevard just before midnight on Friday night.

The officer, who was patrolling the area, heard and reported at least three shots being fired in the area, allegedly directed to the patrol vehicle.

The officer immediately got out of the vehicle and took cover.

No injuries in the incident have been reported.

There is ongoing investigation about the incident. The police have no suspects at this time.
