Denton convenience store sells $1 million winning Texas Lottery scratch ticket to Hickory Creek resident
Hickory Creek, Texas – A resident of Hickory Creek has become Texas’ newest millionaire after claiming a $1 million top prize from the Texas Lottery scratch ticket game $1,000,000 Ca$h!.
According to lottery officials, the winning ticket was purchased at S & B Store #2, located at 1918 N. Carroll Blvd. in Denton. The winner chose to remain anonymous, which is allowed under Texas Lottery rules.
The prize represents one of the game’s biggest available awards. Lottery officials said this was the second of four top prizes worth $1 million to be claimed since the scratch game was introduced. That means two of the four grand prizes were still unclaimed at the time of the announcement.
The $1,000,000 Ca$h! scratch game offers players more than $91.5 million in total prizes, giving participants numerous opportunities to win prizes of different amounts. The Texas Lottery also noted that the overall odds of winning any prize are one in 3.99, a figure that includes break-even prizes that return the cost of the ticket.
The store that sold the lucky ticket may also benefit from the winning purchase. Under the Texas Lottery Retailer Bonus Program, retailers that sell top prize-winning tickets can qualify for a $10,000 bonus. As a result, S & B Store #2 may be eligible to receive that reward for selling the $1 million winning ticket.
The latest jackpot win adds another millionaire to the growing list of Texas Lottery winners while leaving two additional $1 million top prizes still waiting to be claimed in the popular scratch ticket game.
