Free parking now available at Fort Worth’s new City Hall site off Forest Park Boulevard as city leaders work to make government meetings more inclusive and resident-friendly

Fort Worth, Texas – In an exciting move for local residents, the City of Fort Worth has announced that parking will be free at the new Council Chamber, offering an accessible experience for those attending City Council meetings and other civic events. This initiative highlights the city’s commitment to encouraging public participation in governance by removing barriers such as parking fees.

The designated free parking area for visitors is conveniently located on the south side of the building, directly off Forest Park Boulevard. Clear signage is in place to guide residents to this zone, ensuring easy access to the chamber. While parking in front of City Hall on Fort Worth Trail is typically reserved for City Hall business, the additional lot along Forest Park Boulevard provides attendees with a direct walking path that leads straight to the Council Chamber.

In celebration of these new developments, the City of Fort Worth is hosting a grand opening for the newly designed Council Chamber on Tuesday, March 25. The event promises to be a significant occasion, marking a new era in the city’s governance and public engagement strategy.
