From car theft to elementary school incident, Dallas County suspect’s alleged crime spree highlights vulnerabilities in public safety and school security

Dallas County, Texas – In a startling series of crimes that shook Dallas County, 55-year-old Gregory Noble is accused of committing a sequence of violent felonies all in one day, including a bank robbery and the theft of seven cars. Noble, who has a significant criminal background, now faces multiple charges as authorities piece together the details of his latest alleged crime spree.
The events unfolded on Thursday, March 20, beginning in Far North Dallas. According to police reports, the chaos started when Noble allegedly stole a car from the 14500 block of Dallas Parkway. The owner of the vehicle, in a hurried call to the police, mentioned that a handgun had been left inside the car, a detail that added a dangerous potential to the unfolding crimes.
Shortly after the initial theft, Noble reportedly targeted a nearby PNC Bank on Preston Road. Authorities believe he used the stolen car as his getaway vehicle, tying the first theft directly to the subsequent bank robbery. The spree escalated quickly as Noble continued his onslaught across the county.
Later that day, Noble was seen in the same stolen vehicle at a business on Lemmon Avenue in the Love Field area. There, he allegedly threatened employees and managed to steal another car. His attempt to take yet another vehicle at gunpoint on Lemmon Avenue, however, was unsuccessful.
The crime spree took a more alarming turn when Noble made his way to Leonides Gonzalez Cigarroa, M.D. Elementary School in Northwest Dallas. In a particularly brazen act, he fired a gun into the air and demanded a ride from the victims present, which included the school’s principal, from whom he forcibly took vehicle keys and fled the scene. Thankfully, no physical injuries were reported from the school.
Continuing his relentless pursuit, Noble was involved in an accident after crashing the third stolen vehicle into two cars on Rosser Road. Escalating the threat, he pointed a gun at a bystander and their child before fleeing in yet another stolen car. His criminal activities extended into Farmers Branch, where he abandoned the vehicle and stole a fifth car.
Noble’s spree stretched into Coppell, where he attempted another carjacking at gunpoint but failed. Following a collision involving the car he was in, he attempted to steal the car he crashed into but instead fled to steal his sixth vehicle. This vehicle was later found abandoned in Irving, where he proceeded to steal a seventh car.
The day-long spree ended when Noble was spotted by Dallas police. After a brief pursuit, he crashed in a parking lot near the intersection of Singleton Boulevard and Gulden Lane in the Trinity Groves area. Noble refused to exit the vehicle, prompting a response from the Dallas SWAT team, which ultimately took him into custody.
Now held in the Dallas County Jail, Noble faces a slew of charges, including robbery of a business, aggravated robbery, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and evading arrest. Further charges from the FBI and other law enforcement agencies are anticipated given the severity and range of his alleged crimes. With a criminal history that includes a previous conviction for bank robbery, Noble’s latest arrest adds a substantial chapter to his lengthy record of offenses.
