Two teenagers arrested for fatal shooting in Garland
Dallas County authorities have arrested two teenagers, aged 14 and 15, on suspicion of committing murder and causing a crash that set a Garland apartment complex ablaze. The teenage suspects’ identities have been withheld since they are minors, and they are being held at the Henry Wade Juvenile Justice Center in Dallas.
According to police reports, the teenagers are alleged to have murdered Quincy Branch, a Fort Worth resident, in early February by shooting him while he was traveling in a vehicle with another man. The car subsequently collided with a Garland apartment building on Saturn Road.
The resulting impact caused a fire that necessitated the building’s evacuation. While Branch died in the crash, the other man survived. The two teenagers have been accused of being responsible for the shooting that led to the fatal crash and subsequent blaze.
The police authorities have not released any further details regarding the suspects’ motives for the shooting or the events leading up to the incident. However, they have emphasized that the teenagers will face severe consequences if found guilty of the crimes they have been accused of. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
