One arrested in connection with the November 11 shooting death of a Fort Worth man

Fort Worth, Texas – One person was taken into custody on Sunday night in connection with a shooting that took place in the east of Fort Worth on November 11 and resulted in the death of a man.

The person who was arrested and identified as the main suspect is 20-year-old Trevor Johnson. He is facing murder charges for the death of a 20-year-old Fort Worth resident, Ernesto Gomez.

Johnson was booked into the Fort Worth jail over the weekend.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office determined Gomez’s death a homicide as the cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound to his head.

Gomez was pronounced dead at the scene when first responders got to the 4300 block of Panola Avenue, which was the location where the fatal shooting took place. Officers were sent to the scene after a person who called 911 said that their brother had been shot and was in the middle of the street.
