First-grade teacher from Lake Worth ISD accused of inappropriate behavior with a student

Lake Worth, Texas – On Friday, the Lake Worth Independent School District said that a first-grade teacher had been arrested after being accused of acting inappropriately with a student.

The school district made the announcement of the arrest of a teacher at Miller Language Academy known as Mario Pureco Razo public through a message that was posted on Twitter.

“Although the District has not reached any conclusion as to his guilt or innocence related to the allegations, he is no longer employed with the District,” the statement reads. “At this time, we are not aware of any complaints of a similar nature related to any other student, and he was no longer in the classroom as of October 21, 2022.”

The Lake Worth Independent School District has indicated that they have completely complied with the requests of Child Protective Services and the Fort Worth Police Department to not announce information prior to an arrest.
