Investigation into the death of a man in a SWAT-involved shooting in Fort Worth still ongoing

Fort Worth, Texas – The investigation into the shooting death of a man by police gunfire over the weekend in Fort Worth, which occurred during a standoff with SWAT, is still ongoing.

Authorities found out the suspect, identified as Taylor Grimes, was causing damage inside his mother’s residence while holding her as a hostage.

Officers were sent to the scene, and upon arrival, they noticed Grimes approaching the door with a handgun. He refused to surrender and let his mother out of the home.

He was fatally shot by law enforcement after pointing the handgun at them. He died at the scene.
