Mail theft suspect arrested following a high-speed chase in Dallas
Dallas, Texas – A man who was sought for stealing mail was apprehended in Dallas, according to the police in Dalworthington Gardens. The suspect led authorities on a high-speed pursuit across many cities, reaching speeds of over 100 miles per hour.
The pursuit started when officers from the Dalworthington Gardens Police Department attempted to pull the suspect over at around two in the morning on Saturday.
The motorist did not comply with the officers’ orders, prompting a high-speed pursuit through several cities.
The pursuit came to an end in the 7000 block of South Hampton Road in Dallas when the driver collided with an occupied U-Haul.
The alleged mail thief, whose identity has not been made public at this time, was transported to the hospital for treatment of his apparently minor injuries.
The occupants of the U-Haul remained uninjured.
