Homicide investigation ongoing after fire crews put out a house fire and found three dead people inside
After receiving reports of smoke coming from a residence on Saturday, fire crews discovered the bodies of three people inside and called the Carrollton police department to investigate.
On October 1, just before 4 o’clock in the afternoon, firefighters from Carrollton Fire Rescue responded to reports of smoke coming from a residence located in the 3900 block of Alto Avenue.
The house was already engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived, and they found three unresponsive bodies of adult individuals inside. They summoned the police because two of the bodies had apparent signs of trauma, while the third body had a gunshot wound to the head.
What exactly has happened has not been determined yet since the investigation is ongoing, but authorities confirmed that the individuals were already dead before the house caught on fire.
The victims were only identified as two men, aged 77 and 53, and a 51-year-old woman.
