Garland, TX – An Amber Alert issued early Sunday morning for a Garland teenager who was previously reported missing, has been cancelled after she was found safe, the local police confirmed.

According to the Garland police, the 17-year-old Yadhira Montserrat Medina was reported missing early on Sunday after someone reportedly told the local police department that she had been kidnapped by her former boyfriend.

The police said someone told them that they saw the 20-year-old David Emanuel Maldonado allegedly dragging Medina in his vehicle “against her will” Saturday night.

The police didn’t disclose more details about the case, but confirmed that she is now home and safe with her family.

The case remains under investigation. More details are expected in the upcoming days.
