City council will discuss renaming Alliance Airport at Tuesday’s meeting
Fort Worth, Texas – City officials are considering honoring Ross Pero Sr. for his contributions to the economic development of the area by renaming the Alliance Airport to Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport.
The city council will gather for a meeting on Tuesday to discuss a motion to change the name of the airport.
If the council adopts the motion, it will be submitted for approval to the Federal Aviation Administration. The renaming procedure will last up to 90 days.
The members of the council have expressed their desire to publicly acknowledge the contributions that the billionaire entrepreneur and one-time presidential candidate have made to the development of the local economy.
