Thursday late-night shooting in Dallas fast-food drive-thru fatal for one teenager, the shooter fled the scene, report
Dallas, Texas – One teenager was shot to death, while two other remained unhurt in the Thursday late-night shooting incident that took place in Dallas fast-food drive-thru, the local authorities confirmed.
According to the incident report, the shooting was fatal for the 19-year-old Zuri Goff who was in a vehicle in the drive-thru of a Raising Canes near I-20 and Hampton, in the Red Bird neighborhood.
The initial investigation showed that a man who was leaving the restaurant at the time opened fire at the vehicle. The police confirmed that the shooter was accompanied by another person.
The victim was in the back passenger seat and he was shot several times which turned out to be fatal for Goff. At the time of the shooting, there were two more people in the car, but fortunately they remained unhurt in the incident.
Right after the shooting, the suspect and the other person left the restaurant and ran in unknown direction. The police didn’t manage to find either of them.
The motive behind the shooting remains unknown. Authorities didn’t provide more details.
There is ongoing investigation about the incident. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 911 or to call the Dallas Police Department.
