Pedestrian hit and killed outside Dallas bar on Hudnall Street Thursday morning, the driver arrested and charged after failing a field sobriety test

Dallas, TX – Dallas man was hit and killed Thursday early morning outside Dallas bar and the driver involved was arrested, the Dallas PD confirmed.

According to the police report, the fatal incident happened Thursday early morning around 2 a.m. outside the Tin Room, which is near Inwood Road and Maple Avenue.

Speeding pickup truck hit and seriously injured a 27-year-old male victim while trying to cross Hudnall Street as people were living the bar.

The man suffered serious injuries and was immediately transferred to hospital for treatment after the paramedics’ arrival. He died in hospital during a surgery.

The driver remained at the scene after the incident. He was identified by the authorities as the 27-year-old Richard Rojas. He was arrested after failing a field sobriety test.

Rojas is facing intoxication manslaughter charges.

The identity of the victim was not immediately released.
