Dallas PD seeking help in identifying a man who stole money and personal items from Family Dollar store employee

Dallas TX – Dallas Police Department is asking for public’s help in identifying and locating a suspect who stole money and Family Dollar store employee personal belongings in an incident that took place in January.

According to the police, the incident happened on January 17 at the Family Dollar store located in the 1500 block of South Buckner Boulevard.

The suspect entered the store and went to the storage area which is closed for the public, and opened a storage bin. The suspect was caught on video surveillance cameras while he was in this area.

The burglary happened when the suspect left that area and went into an office — another restricted space located at the front of the building. Police say while in the office the man rambled through an employee’s purse, and took her personal property along with $84 cash.

Once he took the money and other personal belongings, he headed to the register and paid for several items before leaving the store.

The police are asking for public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect.

Police are asking that anyone with information about the burglary or who can identify the suspect contact Detective J. Williams at 214-671-0142 or send an email to the officer at Dallas City Hall.
