Mansfield truck crash fatal for one person, another injured, report

Mansfield, Texas – One person was killed, while another was injured and transferred to hospital for treatment following Mansfield truck crash, the local fire department confirmed.

According to the incident report, a truck crashed into a building in Mansfield located at 1788 FM 157, on the service drive of Highway 287, south of FM 157 around 7:20 p.m. Saturday.

Mansfield Fire Department were dispatched at the scene following a 911 call regarding a single-vehicle crash into a building. When first responders arrived at the scene, the truck was will running and on fire filling the building with smoke.

With the immediate reaction of the fire crews, the fire was put under control and extinguished in a matter of minutes. The first responders managed to take two passengers out of the vehicle.

One of them had suffered serious injuries and was in critical condition, while the other passenger has less severe injuries sustained in the crash.

They were transferred to hospital for treatment. Shortly after they were admitted to hospital, one of the passengers was pronounced dead. The other passenger was in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

The local authorities didn’t provide more details about the fatal crash. The identity of the victim was not immediately released by the authorities.
