Fort Worth officer caught driving police vehicle while intoxicated, arrested
Fort Worth, Texas – Fort Worth police officer has been arrested and is facing charges after he was caught driving police vehicle while intoxicated, the department confirmed.
According to multiple reports, the incident happened three days ago on February 8. The identity of the officer was not released by the authorities, but it was confirmed that he is a 29-year veteran.
At the time of the incident, the officer was working in a “support services capacity” and was not in uniform. According to police, he was not interacting with the public.
The arrest for driving while intoxicated came after an internal investigation. At this point, no more details about the incident were released by the department.

The officer’s criminal case will be handed to the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office.
The officer was placed on restricted duty and “stripped of all police powers,” the local police department added.
