Saturday morning wrong-way crash in Dallas resulted with one person killed, another injured, police
Dallas, TX – Saturday early morning crash just before 2 a.m., along I-35 at Colorado Boulevard, south of Downtown Dallas was fatal for one person, while another was injured, local police confirmed.
According to the incident report, the initial investigation shows that a Mazda CX-5 was headed the wrong way on I-35 when it crashed with a Chevy Impala.
The driver of the Mazda, a 32-year-old man, and the driver of the Chevy, a 39-year-old woman, both suffered serious injuries and were transferred to hospital for treatment.
Shortly after they were admitted to hospital the Mazda driver was pronounced dead. Fortunately, the woman survived and the latest information from the hospital suggests she is in stable condition.
The police didn’t reveal the identities of the people involved in the crash.
The police added that officers were already dispatched in the area before the crash took place after someone reported wrong-way driver.
More details are yet to be released once the investigation about the incident is completely finished.
