Another testing site opens in Arlington due to raising demand for testing in the area, sponsored by the federal government
Arlington, Texas – As a result of the rising demand in testing for Covid-19, another testing site is set to open in Arlington, multiple reports say.
The new testing site is sponsored by the federal government and will be located outside Choctaw Stadium, which is the former home of the Texas Rangers.
The site will run seven days a week from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. and will be located in Sienna Lot “M”. The testing site will be operational at least for three weeks.
National guard members were on hand Tuesday to help with set up. The Federal Emergency Management Agency will be in charge of the operations.
“A lot of testing capacity in the area, let’s utilize it. If anyone feels they have any symptoms, do not ignore it. Yes, it’s allergy season. It’s cold season, flu season. But please, go get your COVID test done. I do recommend that people who are exposed and are feeling symptoms, they should come first,” said Vinny Taneja, the Tarrant County public health director.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency said that in an effort to avoid wait time and waiting in lines, everyone is encouraged to register for testing online on this link.
