Friday night house fire in Fort Worth forced at least 11 people out of their home, one person injured

Fort Worth, TX – Christmas Eve turned into hell for at least 11 people after their house burned in fire Friday night, local fire department confirmed.

According to the fire officials, fire crews were dispatched at the scene in the 2500 block of Prospect Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. after a 911 call in regards to a fire.

At the time of the incident, 11 people were at the apartment and they are now displaced since the home is almost completely destroyed.

Luckily, only one person was injured of the incident. Ten people managed to escape the house through the door, while one person had to jump from the first floor. That person suffered minor injuries and is expected to recover soon.

The Red Cross is now assisting the 11 people who were displaced.

So far, investigators do not know what started the fire.
