Southeast Dallas shooting on Thursday results with 20-year-old man shot and killed, police

Dallas, TX – A 20-year-old man was the victim in the fatal shooting that took place on Thursday in Southeast Dallas, local authorities confirmed.

According to them, the shooting incident took place around 7:45 p.m. on Thursday on Eastbound L.B.J. Freeway at the Haymarket exit ramp.

Dallas Police Department officers were dispatched at the scene following a 911 call in regards to a shooting.

When the responding officers arrived at the scene, they found the 20-year-old Reginald Jeffrey suffering at least one gunshot wound inside his vehicle.

He was immediately transferred to the nearest hospital for treatment, but he didn’t make it and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival there.

Police said witnesses informed them that a dark colored SUV may have been involved in the shooting.

Although the investigation is in early stages and the police still don’t have a suspect in the case, they believe that the motive behind the shooting might have been road rage incident that took place prior to the shooting.

The police didn’t reveal more details about the deadly shooting incident. Once more information is available, we will update the case.
