The city of Denton to allow small amounts of marijuana, two ounces or less
Denton, TX – The city of Denton is considering to decriminalizing small amounts of marijuana soon.
Reportedly, Denton authorities soon might be told to ignore people with possession of two ounces or less.
However, with the latest proposal people might still be charged if they are also accused of a felony or a violent crime.
“We must act now if we wish to live up to our city values of inclusivity and innovation. Make this a high priority. The public is watching,” said Deb Armintor, a Denton city council member.
No action has been taken yet, but the proposal will be discussed with the police chief soon.
