Thursday crash in Arlington fatal for one teenager, I-30 was closed for several hours
Arlington, TX – One teenager was killed in the fatal crash that took place Thursday morning that closed the I-30 for several hours.
According to the incident report, the multi-vehicle crash took place around 4 a.m. near Fielder Road.
That part of I-30 was closed for several hours while investigators were at the scene.
Investigators said a car that had become disabled in the center lane was struck from behind by another car, a motorcycle, and a pickup truck.
As a result of the crash, a 19-year-old man was killed. Police said he was the driver of the initially disabled car who got out of the car when it was struck from the other vehicles from behind.
His identity was not released and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other people involved in the crash suffered only minor injuries.
No criminal charges are being filed in the crash.
The road was closed for several hours and was reopened around 10:30 a.m.
