The future is now: After months of testing, Wing starting to deliver Walgreens products in Frisco and Little Elm area next week

North Texas – Drone delivery looks closer than ever as Wing is about to start delivering Walgreens products in the Frisco and Little Elm area next week.

According to multiple reports, the company is finally prepared to start their drone delivery project in Texas after months of testing in the Fort Worth area.

The Google’s drone-making affiliate performed tests since June at Hillwood’s AllianceTexas Flight Test Center in Fort Worth.

Company officials say that they are able to deliver nearly 100 Walgreens products in the Frisco and Little Elm area starting next week.

According to Wing, only a limited number of neighborhoods will be included in the testing period, but they expect to expand the number of available products and area coverage in the upcoming period.

The retailer says it will set up drone hangars in its store parking lots, roofs and nearby buildings.

The company added they aim to roll out the service in the rest of Texas, but they didn’t provide time frame when they expect that to happen.
