10 Places to Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Fort Worth

Fort Worth, Texas – Fort Worth is definitely still staying up until midnight to ring in the new year and kiss 2020 a much-appreciated goodbye. If you feel up to venturing out on New Year’s Eve, here are a few places hosting celebrations.

Wicked Butcher

After being closed for a long nine months, downtown Fort Worth steakhouse Wicked Butcher is finally open and serving up a swanky three-course dinner for New Year’s Eve. Options include beef tartare, Australian rack of lamb, and cherry crème brûlée for dessert.

Prohibition: A New Year’s Eve Celebration

With Bass Performance Hall closed, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra (FWSO) is taking its annual New Year’s Eve show to Will Rogers Memorial Auditorium. The orchestra will play a Roaring Twenties-themed program that, according to the FWSO, pays homage to “prohibition, gangsters, ingenues, and intrigue.”

Pinstripes

Clearfork bowling and bocce venue Pinstripes is hosting a New Year’s Eve party with live music, party favors, surprise giveaways, and complimentary champagne toasts (along with complimentary sparkling drinks for the kids).

B&B Butchers & Restaurant

Also at the The Shops at Clearfork, B&B Butchers & Restaurant is open until 1 a.m., serving up steaks, drinks, and 2021 swag.

Amber Room

One of the Near Southside’s newest hangout spots, Wishbone & Flynt (and its accompanying cocktail bar, the Amber Room), is hosting a 2020 Farewell Celebration. Tickets range from $75 – $225 and, depending on the package you purchase, include a multi-course dinner, cocktails, and late-night bites.

Billy Bob’s Texas

Tracy Lawrence will headline the New Year’s Eve celebration at Billy Bob’s Texas. Purchase a ticket to the Time Marches on New Years Eve Bash to get access to food, specialty cocktails, giveaways, and “Post-Midnight Good Luck Snacks.”

City Works

City Works is celebrating a “Brew Year’s Eve” with chef specials like short rib and fillet medallions to pair with over 90 beers on draft and a complimentary glass of champagne.

Tulips

Fort Worth’s newest music venue, Tulips, is hosting local favorite Grady Spencer & the Work at both an early show and late show.

Winslow’s Wine Cafe

Winslow’s Wine Cafe will serve a New Year’s Eve dinner set to the sounds of a live guitarist playing holiday and romantic music. More info will be available on Winslow’s Facebook page.

Amplify 817

Of course, there’s no harm staying home on New Year’s Eve. The Fort Worth Public Library is hosting a virtual concert featuring musicians on its free music streaming platform, Amplify 817. The lineup includes artists Big Heaven, Frenchie’s Blues Destroyers, Grady Spencer & the Work, GR4NT, Louie Thesinger, Mean Motor Scooter, and Yokyo, with the show hosted by Amplify 817 artist and curator Lou CharLe$ and Tom Martens of Hear Fort Worth.
