A National Magazine Just Named Fort Worth the No. 15 Best Place to Travel
Fort Worth, Texas – New York-based magazine Travel & Leisure placed Fort Worth at No. 15 among its 50 Best Places to Travel in 2021, calling our city “a walloping dose of Texas heritage — with some luxe, modern updates.” The magazine highlighted landmarks like the Fort Worth Stockyards and its forthcoming Hotel Drover, nightlife spots like Blackland Distilling, and the Amon Carter Museum of American Art as notable destinations.
This is the first time Fort Worth has made Travel & Leisure’s Best Places to Travel list — a top goal for the city’s convention and visitors’ bureau, Visit Fort Worth, and its New York-based agency, Quinn PR.
Visit Fort Worth credits Quinn PR for helping the city land in the top 20 and has been working with the agency for the past five years, pitching efforts and developing relationships with national media.
According to Visit Fort Worth, the city’s hospitality industry employed more than 24,000 and supported local businesses with a $2.6 billion economic impact before COVID-19.
“[Making Travel & Leisure’s Best Places to Travel list] is a major recognition of the visionary investment in a western renaissance as well as the young, creative Funkytown energy we see through art, music, and film,” Bob Jameson, president and CEO of Visit Fort Worth, said in a statement.
Other destinations on Travel & Leisure’s list include Alaska’s coast, The Black Hills of South Dakota, and the Texas Hill Country.
