The Blue Angels are Coming Back to Fort Worth

Fort Worth, Texas – After wrapping up its first-ever drive-in event, the Bell Fort Worth Alliance Air Show is gearing up for next year, announcing its featured performers for 2021 — the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.

They’re scheduled to perform over Fort Worth Alliance Airport on Oct. 23 – 24.

“This past year has been challenging for everyone. However, the Alliance Air Show’s production team is grateful that in only 54 days, we were able to execute a successful drive-in event to celebrate our 30th anniversary earlier this fall,” said Christina Carey, director of special projects for Alliance Air Productions, producer of the event and a nonprofit organization created by real estate developer Hillwood. “Given that our 2021 show is late in the year, it allows us more time to focus on enhancing the guests’ experience and bring the best family entertainment value to North Texas.”

2021 marks the Blue Angels’ 75th anniversary, as well as the debut of a new aircraft — the Boeing F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet, a jet newer and larger than the team’s previous F/A-18 A/B/C/D platform. The move to the Super Hornet is the first time the elite Navy and Marine Corps demonstration team has changed aircraft since it moved from the A-4F Skyhawk II to the Hornet back in 1986.

The Blue Angels are expected to arrive Thursday for their winter visit with air show officials at Alliance Airport. Other details about the event will be announced at a later date, and tickets will be available summer 2021 at allianceairshow.com.
