“City Hall on the Go” debuts in Dallas, offering residents on-the-spot access to government services in recreation centers and public spaces throughout April 2025

Dallas, Texas – Dallas City Hall is bringing a novel approach to serving its citizens with the launch of “City Hall on the Go,” a mobile unit initiative aimed at delivering essential city services directly to residents’ neighborhoods. This innovative program is designed to provide easy access to a variety of city services without the need for citizens to travel to City Hall, thereby enhancing community engagement and support.
The “City Hall on the Go” vehicle, equipped with resources and staff from different city departments, will travel across Dallas to various community and recreation centers. This initiative addresses common needs and queries related to sanitation, housing rights, public safety, and more, effectively bringing the government closer to the people.
Throughout April 2025, the mobile unit is scheduled to visit several locations. Each event is tailored to meet the specific needs of the surrounding community, providing a personalized approach to city assistance. The first stop will be at the Grauwyler Recreation Center on Harry Hines Boulevard on April 1, from 9 to 11 a.m. This will offer residents the opportunity to engage with city services early in the month.
Following this, the mobile unit will make its way to Jaycee Zaragosa at 3114 Clymer Street on April 10, where it will be available from 10 a.m. to noon. Mid-month, on April 17, the team will visit Harry Stone Recreation Center at 2403 Millmar Drive, also from 9 to 11 a.m., continuing their commitment to accessibility.
As the month progresses, the Kiest Park Recreation Center on South Hampton Road will host the unit on April 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The final scheduled event for the month will take place at the Jubilee Park Community Center on Bank Street on April 28, where services will be available from 10 a.m. to noon.
Residents looking to make use of these services can expect to find representatives from various departments, including Dallas 311, the Office of Equity & Inclusion, Fair Housing, Dallas Police Community Operations, and the Department of Sanitation Services. Additional support will be available from DFD Community Outreach, Code Compliance Services, the Office of Community Care & Empowerment, Dallas County Health & Human Services, the Office of Environmental Quality & Sustainability, and the Office of Homeless Solutions.
For those interested in having the mobile unit attend a community event or needing more information on the program and its services, details can be found on the city’s website under the services section. This initiative not only promises to streamline the process of obtaining city services but also reinforces the city’s commitment to its residents by making government services more accessible and responsive to community needs.
