Texans encouraged to submit nominations for the 2025 Texas Women’s Hall of Fame, celebrating the trailblazers who have made a significant impact in their communities and industries

Austin, Texas – The Governor’s Commission for Women is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Texas Women’s Hall of Fame, an initiative that highlights the remarkable contributions of women who have shaped the state through their dedication and achievements. Governor Greg Abbott made the announcement, encouraging Texans to recognize the women in their communities who have made a lasting impact in various fields, including business, education, philanthropy, and public service.

Established in 1984, the Texas Women’s Hall of Fame honors those who have made groundbreaking advancements and left an enduring legacy in their respective fields. Every two years, Texans have the opportunity to submit nominations, which are then reviewed by an independent panel of judges. Over the decades, the Hall of Fame has recognized trailblazers ranging from former First Ladies and astronauts to entrepreneurs, educators, public servants, and Olympic athletes.

The nomination process is open to all Texans who wish to honor a woman who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and service.
